The A-Team
Applix was started by people who had worked the plant floor and wrote the software that runs it. Every plant they ran had the same gap: the ERP, the MES, the historian and the spreadsheets each held part of the story, and none could be trusted to settle which version was right. They built mOS to close that gap: one live context that arbitrates between systems that update out of step.
Zero defects, zero downtime, zero waste.
No plant reaches any of the three, which is exactly why they are useful as a direction: every one of them is a distance you can measure and close. Sometimes the missing piece is an algorithm, and we build it. More often the plant's context is the problem: scattered systems that disagree, and records that mean different things depending on when they are read.
mOS reconciles them into one context at a given moment, and our engineers work on the floor because that is where the disagreement starts.
